Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a radio interview on Thursday evening that the immigrants flooding into Europe "looks more like an army than asylum seekers".
He also pointed out that 80 percent of those who come are men and that Europe's population problem can not be resolved by immigration, reports Hungary's leading business newspaper, Budapest Business Journal.
In the interview, he noted that the Hungarian left looks at the immigration as a "possibility", but that approach is a "fatal mistake". He also expressed surprise that some European politicians show such joy when their countries are "swamped by tens of thousands of strangers arriving unchecked".
- As long as Europe does not make clear that not all can be admitted, and that everyone needs to undergo an asylum procedure outside of Europe before entering the continent, they will continue to come, he said.
If European countries want to "solve the demographic problems with the help of men resembling young warriors" they are free, but Hungary will not accept the model for its part, clarified the Hungarian Prime Minister.
